Dennings was in a relationship with Nick Zano from 2011-2014, she was her co-star on "2 Broke Girls". Following their breakup the couple began to date Josh Groban. They remained together up to 2016. Dennings began to get acquainted with the musician Andrew W.K. at the beginning of 2021. The two soon started dating, and announced their engagement in the month of May in 2021. Dennings, a musician fan since 2014, was Dennings's first crush. Though Dennings was Jewish She has said that she is more a part of the Jewish faith on a personal and cultural level and doesn't make religion an active part of her life. She enjoys reading, gardening and drawing. The plan was to attend art school, but when her entire portfolio got destroyed by floods her plans dissolved.
